Near the end of the play, Scott, the father of Jamal, receives a text of a video of someone matching his son’s description being killed on screen. Matching the complexity theme of the show, the audience never actually see the video itself and to make matters worse the video is deliberately vague. To create this cue I recorded a few actors, added distant rain in the background, added footsteps running away, and finally two gun shots before the video stops.
